Engility Lands $27.6 Million NAPIE Contract

On February 20, 2015, Engility Holdings, Inc. was awarded a USD$27.6 million contract by the United States Navy for work on the Naval Avionics Platform Integration Emulator (NAPIE) system. The contract calls for Engility Holdings to provide product and technical support for NAPIE system development and testing. This system allows for fast integration of innovative prototype technologies, such as sensors or algorithms, to current platforms.

Engility Holdings will provide program management, engineering services, system architecture, guidance quality analysis, flight test data analysis, and field support to the Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Department. Additional features include core computing elements such as data recorders, test engineer consoles, and several different electrical, electronic, avionic, and mechanical parts. The system will fully comply with military standards, qualify for Navy test authorizations, and Federal Aviation Administration approval.

With already over 20 years of experience working on the design, development, and technical aspects of the Naval Avionics Platform Integration Emulator system, Engility will complete this contract over a five-year period for the Air Traffic Control Systems Division, Naval Air Warfare Center, and Aircraft Department Patuxent River, MD.
