Last week on May 16th, Eben Upton, Founder of Raspberry Pi announced that the company would be launching a camera connector for their flagship product the Raspberry Pi Zero which made its own debut back in November of 2015. Upton revealed that the decision was made when it was discovered that the fine pitch FPC connector that is used on the Raspberry Pi’s Compute Module Development Kit fits almost seamlessly onto the right side of the Zero’s board.

Nvidia, the American technology company which designs graphics processing units for the gaming market has recently announced their most recent gaming graphics processing units, the Ge-force GTX 1070 as well as the GTX 1080. These gaming graphics processing units are based on the most recent Pascal architecture and were initially revealed in early May. Intel, the American multi-nation technology company and one of the world’s highest valued and largest semiconductor chip makers, has recently deployed a co-processor of its own in order to compete with rivals AMD and Nvidia, both of which offer graphics processors. Intel’s co-processors are being offered in the form for field programmable gate arrays, or FPGAs. Field programmable gate arrays are incredibly fast chips which are capable of being reprogrammed in order to perform specific tasks.
