Last week on May 16th, Eben Upton, Founder of Raspberry Pi announced that the company would be launching a camera connector for their flagship product the Raspberry Pi Zero which made its own debut back in November of 2015. Nvidia, the American technology company which designs graphics processing units for the gaming market has recently announced their most recent gaming graphics processing units, the Ge-force GTX 1070 as well as the GTX 1080. These gaming graphics processing units are based on the most recent Pascal architecture and were initially revealed in early May. Nvidia Corporation’s Tesla P100 graphics processing unit is being ready for use in one of Switzerland’s fastest super-computers. The GPU will be the fastest the company has ever made. Intel, the American multi-nation technology company and one of the world’s highest valued and largest semiconductor chip makers, has recently deployed a co-processor of its own in order to compete with rivals AMD and Nvidia, both of which offer graphics processors. Intel’s co-processors are being offered in the form for field programmable gate arrays, or FPGAs. Field programmable gate arrays are incredibly fast chips which are capable of being reprogrammed in order to perform specific tasks.

Samsung, the South Korean multinational conglomerate company, has recently initiated the mass production of the 10-nanometer class, 8 gigabit DDR4 DRAM chips. These chips are the first of their kind to be produced in the industry to date. The innovative DRAM chips utilize the smallest and latest semiconductor fabrication process of 10 nano-meter. This enables Samsung to build more efficient and faster memory, as these new chips appear to offer significantly faster data transfer rates while simultaneously consuming less power. Agam Shah released an article on PC World on April 7th, 2016 that talks about Nvidia. Nvidia’s CEO said he was frigging excited the very next day after the company introduced the Nvidia Tesla P100. This will be the world’s fastest GPU in the history of the world which can be used to upgrade the super computer Piz Daint. Aerospace engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney has recently unveiled that they have given brand new ten year contracts to four Italian suppliers (Aerea S.p.A., APR S.r.l., Mepit S.r.l., and NCM S.p.A.) worth upwards of $17 million.  The new contracts will allow each of the four companies to manufacture key components for Pratt & Whitney’s F135 engines.   This announcement is just the latest example of Pratt & Whitney expanding their global manufacturing network on behalf of their F135 engine program.
